With summer coming to an end and warmer days being a distant memory, the changing weather may make you realise how new fashion crazes are so fuelled by the opinions of popular internet personalities. I’m certainly not mad about it, so I wanted to take some time to reflect on some fashion choices from this summer, and some of my favourite influencers who have rocked these trends.
Influencers can post one picture in an outfit and then overnight, have all aspects of that outfit become viral. It’s what so many businesses count on hence brand deals and ads; but the general public also turn to them for inspiration in hopes of keeping up with current trends.
This summer, leopard print seemed to be in the lead for the most loved trend and you can get it on just about anything: shoes, bags, pyjamas, phone cases, bandeaus, skirts and even hair accessories. You will find leopard print in most shops and it can be styled easily by taking inspiration from popular influencers. Summed up, it pairs very nicely with red or nude shades as well. Some influencers to follow for leopard print inspo this summer are:
- @beingjulia_
- @amicharlize
- @little_miss_supershopper
As well as leopard print, pinstripes seem to have made it in as a top trend for influencers, particularly on linen trousers but are also featured often on dresses and tops. They are frequently accompanied by oversized tees and sandals and can be seen worn by a myriad of influencers who list a bunch of different brands you can choose to get them from. Again, you can find pinstripes everywhere right now and for the foreseeable as long as our public figures don’t stop posting. If you want to keep up with the pinstripe trend over summer, some accounts you can follow include:
- @mollymae
- @poppydeyes
- @zoesugg
Finally, bows. Bows were used to accessorise every outfit this summer, being attached to bags, used as shoe laces and of course used in hair. They are super cute and definitely summery; I understand the appeal. All coloured bows (even leopard print) can be found in accessory sections of shops in store and online at places like etsy. Influencers use bows to make themselves and their feed look aesthetic and now you can too! People to follow to find your aesthetic can be:
