Colours Ball 2020 Awards Shortlists

The annual celebration of sport at York will be held online next Sunday

For obvious reasons, the annual York Sport Union Colours Ball sadly won't be at the prestigious Principal Hotel like usual. Instead, the celebration of the cream of York's sporting crop will be honoured and recognised online, with plans in place for a very special night of virtual celebration, giving those who have had an impact on sport at York their moment in the spotlight.

The Colours Ball usually includes awards presentations with the bestowing of colours to individual sportspeople in recognition of significant contributions to their chosen sports over their time at the University of York. The 12 awards categories were announced last week, and the nominees are as follows:
