Referendum on NUS affiliation to take place in Week Eight this term

After conducting a consultation with students about YUSU's relationship with the organisation, students will get their say on whether to 'Remain' or 'Leave'.

York students will get a vote on YUSU's affiliation with the National Union of Students (NUS) later this term in Week Eight.

A referendum was due to take place, but it was announced that the vote might be delayed until next academic year, subject to the results of a consultation with students about the organisation.

Following the consultation, it has been announced that the referendum will take place as planned. Students will be able to choose whether to continue or terminate York's affiliation with the bloc.
