About the sport:

We play 11 a-side football, with standard FA rules.

Can beginners get involved?

As well as first and second team training, we run sessions every Thursday that are open to absolutely everyone: veterans and beginners alike. The club in addition has applied for Sportivate funding which, if it is granted to us, will allow us to run a weekly session aimed at increasing the skill level and ability of absolute beginners and also for those who are simply less active than they'd like to be.

Why you should give it a go:

Not only is the club growing- UYWAFC have introduced a second team and are looking to start a third- the first team and futsal team were promoted. Women's football in general is rapidly gaining more media attention thanks to the recent success of the England team in the Women's World Cup. We also pride ourselves on being a friendly, welcoming club and it's therefore a really exciting time to be a part of women's football.
