How have the club performed so far this season?
"Lacrosse at York this year has been exemplary. Both the Men's and Women's firsts are undefeated in all competitions, taking home the BUCS League and Cup Titles."
What are you expecting from your Roses fixture?
"As we are undefeated in 8 years of the competition in Men's, Women's and Mixed lacrosse, we see no reason why that will change this year. But it will be closer than ever as Lancaster themselves performed well in the league - their Men also remaining undefeated in the league."
Why should people come and watch your matches?
"Lacrosse is the fastest game on two feet and an exciting spectacle. With all that has happened in the year, the violent nature of past encounters and Lancaster's frustration building with every meeting, it is sure to be an exciting exhibition."
League and Cup doubles in BUCS for both the men's and the firsts lacrosse sides says it all, really. Collectively, the lacrosse sides have hauled 101 of 745 points in the overall BUCS standings; that's how successful they are. At last year's Roses, all three of the competitive games (there are no points available for the alumni match) were wins by a considerable margin - by 34 goals in the women's case! These fixtures will be an easy 12 points in the bag for York.
