A student from the University has been found dead in his student accommodation

A student from the University has been found dead in his student accommodation.

The 19 year old was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics when the North Yorkshire police were called to campus at 9.15pm on Wednesday 12 February 2014.

Police are not treating the incident as suspicious and no one else is thought to be connected with the death.

The identity of the student has not been confirmed but his next of kin have been informed. The University are expected to release a statement after formal identification has taken place.
